Emmy Rossum, Bella Thorne, More Celebs Work Lilly Pulitzer for Target

When someone tells you, “I feel like a creamsicle,” you know she’s wearing a good dress!

And that’s exactly what Emmy Rossum told Us Weekly when she joined Bella Thorne, Camila Alves, Kate Bosworth, and Ellie Kemper on the red carpet at the Palm Beach-inspired, summer-fabulous Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch in NYC on Wednesday, April 15.

The Shameless actress, 28, chose the “Linen Shift Dress – Giraffeeey” dress from the 250-piece collection (ranging in price from $2 to $150, and available April 19). “It’s whimsical!” Rossum gushed to Us about her frock, paired with a Jimmy Choo clutch. “It kind of feels a little bit Mad Men—a little ’60s, Jessica Pare. I wanted to have fun with it.” And she did, completing her ensemble with a bouncy, retro ‘do.

Likewise, Thorne, 17, went bold and bright in the “Shift Dress – Fan Dance” in the fashion house’s favorite hues: pink, yellow, and mint. “I like that the collection is easy and affordable—it makes me feel comfortable and confident,” the Duff actress, who paired the cheerful dress with Capri Positano “Gladiator” sandals, told Us. She also offered a recommendation to those planning on hitting up their local Target this weekend: “I like the shorts! Love the fabrics.” (May we suggest the “Challis Pompom Shorts” in the blue “Upstream” print?)

While most seemed to embrace the collection’s breezy style, Alves, 33, who’s been married to Matthew McConaughey since 2012, upped the ante on her floral frock, the “Shift Dress – Nosie Posey.” “I’m trying to dress it up today, because I think a lot of people would wear [this collection] to the beach or a resort,” the mom of three said. “But I want to show that you can be red carpet-ready in Lilly, too!”
