Jessa Duggar Wedding Dress Photos: Reality Star Marries Ben Seewald
Wedded bliss! 19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Duggar married her love Ben Seewald on Saturday, Nov. 1, and Us Weekly has an exclusive look at photos from the wedding.
The reality star, 21, exchanged vows with Seewald, 19, at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark. The happy couple wed in front of friends and family for a whopping total of 1,000 wedding guests.
Duggar wore a blush-colored wedding gown with cap sleeves and an embellished bodice for her special day, while her husband donned a navy-blue suit with a peach-colored bow tie.
Seewald’s bright-colored tie accentuated the peach-colored bridesmaid dresses worn by a group of Duggar’s friends and family members, including maid of honor, 20-year-old sister Jinger Duggar. The women stood by the bride’s side as she said “I do” to her love, to whom she became engaged on August 14.
Insiders tell Us Weekly that the ceremony began with a rendition of “Amazing Grace,” which played as Duggar and Seewald’s grandparents and mothers were seated. The classic hymn was followed by a performance of “Love Never Falls” by Seewald’s aunt Rebecca Seewald as bridesmaids entered the church. Duggar then made her entrance with Erin Paynes‘ “Bridal March.”
A source tells Us that in addition to their vows, Duggar and Seewald poured two vases of sand into one “to symbolize their union and togetherness.” After the ceremony, the Seewalds celebrated with ice cream sundaes as their guests blew bubbles fêting their arrival as a married couple.
Jessa is the third child in the expansive Duggar family to tie the knot. She follows older brother Josh, 26, who is the father to three children, and older sister Jill, 23, who announced this past August that she and husband Derick Dillard are expecting their first child together.
The newly christened Mrs. Seewald differed from her sister’s tradition on her wedding day, choosing not to have her first kiss ever in front other guests at the ceremony. Instead, sources tell Us Weekly that the pair locked lips for the first time in private after the wedding.
Duggar’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar set strict rules for her courtship with Seewald, which involved parental supervision and limited physical contact before they became husband and wife.
