Jeremy Renners Comeback From Near-Tragic Accident to MCU Return

Publish date: 2024-05-24

Jeremy Renner proves that he is a true superhero, not just an Avenger. Renner emerges stronger and more determined than ever, fighting through his recovery with the same tenacity as he does on screen.

With his sights set on Hollywood and the MCU, he is not just looking to make a comeback; he is aiming with the same precision as Hawkeye.

Renner’s transformation from near-tragic to triumphant is nothing short of legendary, as he prepares to return to the big screen and set new goals.

Jeremy Renner was involved in a near-fatal accident in Reno, Nevada, last year while clearing snow from his driveway with his nephew.

Runner is doing well after a year of recovery and has resumed work on his upcoming drama, Mayor of Kingstown. Renner also recently discussed his potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Renner portrayed Hawkeye, an Avengers character, in the Marvel universe. The actor told Entertainment Tonight that “I am always game.” I will be strong enough, for sure. “I am going to be ready.”

Referring to his Avenger co-stars who came to see him after the harrowing accident, the actor said, “All those guys come to my bedside and they have been with me all along through this recovery, so… if they want me, they can have me.” That could be something.

Renner made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the 2011 film Thor. Since then, he has played Hawkeye, the world’s greatest archer, in several other Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and, most recently, the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

In the interview, the actor also talked about his first Super Bowl commercial.

“Before becoming a film star, I worked in commercials; I never had an ad in the big game,” Renner admitted.

“I am looking forward to watching this one because they are sometimes the highlight of the Super Bowl. Some games are not always the best, but the advertisements are always excellent. It is nice to be a part of that, knowing that I can check that off the list of things I want to do in my life,” he said.

Renner had a difficult year in 2023, but with dedication and positivity, the actor is back to normalcy. He has kept his fans updated over the months via his social media accounts, sharing videos of him doing physical exercise, therapy, and running, among other things.

When asked about his recovery, the actor stated, “[I am doing] probably 90 percent of all the things I needed to be doing… I believe another six months will hopefully be spent running [more]. I was allowed to establish personal goals. Renner has stated that he will do whatever it takes to improve and strengthen himself.” This recovery is only going one way. The rest of my life is dedicated to health and wellness.
